F&B VS RETAIL
F&B VS RETAIL

Okay so I've only worked at retail for 2 days and banqueting for 4 days, but at least now I can compare both!

Comparing
Working hours:
- Banqueting: Roughly around 6hours.
- Retail: Also around 6hours. It's actually 7, but you have an hour for lunch/dinner.

Meals:
- Banqueting: Hotel provides free food :D (Not bad you know. Got dessert, soups and a salad bar on top of the normal freeflow-of-rice, drink and vege-but-controlled-meat)
- Retail: Go and buy your own meal. You have a freedom of choosing a wide variety at Raffles City!!! But its damn ex.

How much your legs would hurt (for unfit people like me):
- Banqueting: I TELL YOU MY LEGS HURT LIKE SHIT. After afew hours, my thighs would feel sooooo cramp and numb when I squat down ): But people like BL, SE and Cindy doesn't seem to be affected in any way.
- Retail: Quite okay. Legs are not really in pain.

Annoying things which have to do almost everytime:
- Banqueting: Go around pouring tea and refilling drinks. Oh, and clear plates -_-
- Retail: Greet your customers and introduction about the products.

The only thing I can't compare is the pay!!!! I've yet to receive from both sides. I will think of more and add on ._."
