Nuffnang Movie Contest - The Surrogates
If Surrogates are available now, I will be rushing out to get one immediately! It could really help me a whole lot in my everyday life.
So first thing that comes to your mind is: What's a Surrogate? Or what does it do?
Every human being can connect their bodies into machines & they instantly live a different life through their robotic human-looking surrogates. Anybody can just stay home all day while they are connected online with their surrogates that can just easily live outside in the real world.
First thing I would ask the surrogate to do, would be the most common thing we teenagers try to escape from - HOUSEWORK. Sure many of us (who do not have maids), are being constantly nagged by our parents to help out. I can think of endless chores to do: Wipe the windows, sweep and mop the floor, wipe dusty areas, cook and clean the dishes, wash my clothes, make my bed....... ohhhkay I should stop before everyone sleeps.
This will sound super duper corny, but I will make volunteer my surrogate help out in Singapore Police Force to help make Singapore a safer place! Hahaha. This is where my surrogate's super good durability body comes in handy! It will help the police catch drug smugglers, track down murderers and keep our neighbourhood safe. :)
Perhaps it could also take on a part-time job to help me earn extra income when I have lots of free time. Heh. After working as a temporary staff and earning only $5/hr, I realized that money is such a important thing in life. Like before buying a scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream, which has a ridiculous price of $4.90/scoop, I would think "Holy moley!!! I have to painstakingly stand for 1 hour in my part-time job just to have a SCOOP OF ICE-CREAM?! :O". So with the help of my surrogate, I will no longer have achy feet as it will take my place standing! I will only revert to my normal self when its time to collect my pay $$$! :D
Never mentioned it, but geeky sci-tech robot shows are one of favourite movie genres! 8)
