Korea - Aftermath
I'm back in Sunny Singapore... WHICH IS AWESOME! I'm sooooo thankful I live in a tropical country where it is super humid and warm. One week is enough for having freezing cold weather, peeling dried skin and frizzy hair. It is so nice to be in one layer of clothing, having the fan blow at you and not having to worry about applying body lotion every few hours afraid your skin might end up being fucked up.
I've seen enough kimchi for the rest of the year too!!! They serve the freaking thing in every. single. meal. I think I'm going to gag at the sight of it from now on.
Most of our meals came hotpot style. Meaning they take a pot pour in some stock, dump in the veges (which occupy like 65% of the pot wtf), dump in the meat and tahdah! You have a one dish to go with your rice. And maybe kelp (seaweed) soup to go with it if you're lucky.
Goodness, I've enough of pork!!! Pork was the only source of meat we ate during the entire trip. I'm going to go vegetarian on a chicken+beef diet from all the fatty high cholesterol crap I ate.
Our breakfast is no better. Different location, different hotels but all serve the same food. Confirm will have scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, ham, sausage, fried rice. Sien ttm man.
So the lesson is to bring salt if you're going Korea. Or you can be like me, have a plate of soysauce beside you during every meal. It helps a little.
