hairdye, dyehair
Finally got my hair dyed in a proper salon!!!! Went with Wynnie to Ian's mum salon hoping to get a good dye job and good discount. Till now I'm still very reluctant to part with $75 for my hair ;_; It's damn expensive but the results are definitely better than bottle ones. And once you But its time to say goodbye to having ugly black roots and dual coloured hair. They've been with me for too long.

I swear its really hard to choose a colour. Like for example you have in mind a reddish brown hair kinda colour. But when you start looking through the hair colour book, you realize that there are actually more options out there. You then reconsider your choice - whether you want it darker/lighter than what you have in mind; whether you want another colour now that you have seen what's available; whether it would be obvious when its done; whether it would look shitty when it fades.

In the end I picked dark chocolate, which was far from what I had in mind -_- I would normally get colours like 5.63 so it would be obvious when the colour starts to fade. But for some reason I decided to try brown. Kind of regret it for now, cause the colour isn't as rich and obvious. Maybe Milk chocolate or Cappuccino (wtf awesome names they have) would have turned out better. Wynnie picked Ash brown, which didn't turn out to be anywhere near ash brown hahaha either.

Thought the colour was nice... until I saw the word "Green". Decided to think twice.

Things I've learnt:

1) When you go to salon, check if it's yellow/white light. IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE to how the hair colour looks like on the colour book.

2) Avoid dyes with copper colour, because it will eventually fade to some shitty colour. (As said by the tao kay neo)

3) Don't keep dyeing different hair colours. It's bad for your hair because if you want to have a certain colour in the future, they will have difficulty mixing the dye to your ideal colour cause your hair's fucked up from dyeing too many colours before.

4) Instead of waiting a century for your black roots to show before finally going to the salon, go back for root touch up every 2-3 months. It helps to make your hair colour "constant", and you'll have nice hair. (As said by the tao kay neo again)

5) Your hair will never be the same as the ones in the colour book, cause we're asians and we have black hair. Fuck our lives.

Hope this helps! Peace.
