Halloween shopping
Just came back from a whole afternoon of Halloween shopping with Wynnie. This is my first time actually going all out to buy costumes and props for Halloween, so it better be damn good! Our first stop was the No.1 Costume costume shop, which is located in the middle of nowhere. The store is apparently the biggest one in sg, and was featured on Chick vs Dick! Upon entering, you would be greeted by racks and racks of costumes, ranging from Justice League to Dory the fish to everyone's favourite vampire/wizard/devil. They have a wide range of accessories to go along too, but good luck trying to find them because they are scattered all over the shop.
Most of the "good" costumes were already taken up, so if you want an ideal costume come early. But after browsing through the shop, I would discourage people from renting. Most of the costumes are huge, so not for skinny asians. And most constumes there are of the "conservative" type, so there are not much slutty options. *cough cough*
So we left empty-handed, and headed to Bali Lane/Haji Lane/Arab street to find an alternative costume shop. But it seemed like they were all closed down -_- But eventually after walking the whole of Bugis street, I got want I want and W finally decided what she wanted to dress up as.
So we had to travel all the way back to the No.1 Costume costume shop to get her wings. W was about to rent an ugly lao pok wings for $25 from now till Monday, untill I saw another pair which is new, 25% bigger and cost only $29.90! So always remember to look out for alternatives before renting anything. back to top?
