Penang Day 2
Day 2

Went for breakfast outside since there was limited breakfast vouchers. We followed the food trail map that was suppose to lead us to good curry mee at Penang Delicious.

So I waited for everyone to order first before deciding on what to eat. My cousin Felicia ended up ordering this particular curry mee... which didn't look appetizing at all x_x The soup tasted like diluted chilli oil, and it wasn't very tasty. How on earth can they recommend this?!

So I saw another stall selling curry mee with yong tou foo and decided to try my luck. It least it looked pretty decent, and it tasted surprisingly good!

Our next stop was Kek Lok Si Temple because all the adults wanted to go there. It was allllll the way up the hill, so we had to climb this slope.

When I die and reincarnate, I want to be a turtle here. I get fed all day, and I can choose whether I want to stay in the shade or go sun tanning. Best part is, I will never be lonely!

So after the temple visit was lunch time. We walked to some road side stall and had assam laska and penang rojak. Although Penang is supposedly famous for their assam laksa, everyone seem to prefer the Jaya Jusco version of assam laksa sold in KL -_- So might as well go there to eat, instead of travelling to Penang just to try it.

Penang's rojak is different. Their rojak sauce is more thick and sweet compared to our version, and the you tiao is very crispy.

Before we headed to Batu Feringgi, I insisted on having CHENDOL! How can you go Penang and not have chendol?! Especially on a hot sunny day. So after much persuasion, my auntie agreed and drove all of us to this stall. I do not know how on earth do my relatives/mum know where is famous for what. It's like "let's eat chendol!!!", then they'll go "okay go lorong salamat, the famous one!"

Initially I thought it was the one stall with the sign below.

But turns out its the stall beside it. o_o I mean by looking you won't think this stall is well-known or famous.

Presenting...

THE FAMOUS CHENDOL WHICH IS DAMN BLOODY GOOD!!!!!! Simple ingredients, but they added just the right amount of coconut milk and gula melaka to make it omfg yummy.

AND THE FAMOUS ICE-KACHANG WHICH IS DAMN BLOODY GOOD TOO!!!!! SUMMORE GOT ICE-CREAM. Unlike the conventional one, with rose syrup, gula melaka and the green syrup (which I can never figure out what it is), this one uses rose syrup, gula melaka and sarsi. Topped with ice-cream and coconut milk ITS DAMN GOOD. Highly recommended.

So after our very excellent dessert, we went to Batu Feringgi beach again! I mean when you're in Penang, you only do 2 things - you either go to the beach or you're out somewhere stuffing yourself with food.

I decided that I really wanted this trip to be as fun-filled as possible, so I was determined to try out new things... like jetskiing. Couldn't find the same vendor as yesterday, so we found Ahmad/Ahmad found us.

My cousin, Felicia and I gearing up ourselves for this shitzxzx. Ok basically wearing lifejackets.

Ahmad is a very happy man because he is going to earn 100RM.

'

Bimbo wave ^_^ He's fetching us to the other side of the beach.

After waiting for our turn, the real shit begins!!!! We had this tutorial session with him, and I was the first one to try driving the jet ski. Omg exxxxcciiting! :D

After he left us to do it by ourselves,

This is our "WAH OMG THAT WAS SHIOK!!!!" face.

I really like this picture. I look like a stick tao kay neo questioning him hehe. He was nice enough to drive all of us back to Golden Sands where we spent our last few hours there.

My brother and I used to spam going down this slide when we were really young. So when we were there, I wanted to experience the good old times and go down the slide once again. So I happily went up the stairs with all the other small kids, waited for my turn, and went down the slide! I was so happy! :) But to my dismay, the moment I got out of the pool a lifeguard approached me and said, "how old are you ah?". OMG EMBARRASSING MUCH HAHAHA! So I said "18....", and slowly walked away feeling pai seh. Sometimes I hate being so old, you get judged for doing lots of things - like going down the slide :(

When it was time for dinner, we went to the end of the world to eat.

Restaurant that is. The serve really good seafood dishes, and price is reasonable (because of exchange rate).

Day 3

Time to check out of the hotel and make our way back to KL. My mum decided to try out a different way of going back. We took a ferry back to Butterworth, and from there we took a coach back to KL. And the coach had only 4 passengers!

Goodbye Penang, I'll see you soon! xx
