Farewell Clementi
It has suddenly dawned to me that these few days are going to be my last days staying here in Clementi. We've been clearing up, packing, moving most of our stuff to a storage room, and packing again. Seems like a never ending cycle. Well today I'm gonna blog what I love and hate about living in this particular HDB block in Clementi.

Love
1. Convenience
This is one thing I'm gonna really reaaaalllyyyy miss about Clementi. I take about 15 min to get to school, and I can actually leave house at 10am for the 10am lecture and still be on time!!!! Not to mention, the ability to go home to take a short nap during that 4 hour break.

And Clementi central has basically everything now!!! From banks, cheap food to threading shops !

2. Buses
Unfortunately, I live in between Dover and Clementi Mrt station so I usually rely on buses to get me to places. And there are so many buses that goes everywhere!! Especially love the fact that there are 2 night riders - great for low budget nights.

3. Food
The great thing about having a coffee shop and a mamak shop below your block is that you'll never go hungry even on the most laziest or rush days. Now that the mall has half opened, and the food centre in full operation, a huge variety of food is about 15min walk away. But it sucked when both were closed last year, and like there was nothing to eat.

Hate
1. Construction workers
This is mainly the reason we're moving really. My mum's primary concern is safety, and it doesn't help when the construction workers ALWAYS there no matter what time we leave or return home. They will always be sitting in one line outside the block, just staring at you and talking to their friends. It's especially bad if they're standing on both sides and you have to walk in between them. Horrific! Yeah I mean we're still safe and sound after a year, but I guess its better to play safe.

2. Dodgy
An uncle that sells illegal cigarettes and hides them in the dustbin. Check.
Someone has jumped off the building to commit suicide. Check.
A huge O$P$ in red paint on the wall beside the lift. Check.

I wonder what would have been next on the list.

I guess Clementi would be a great place to live at once the en block projects is completed. New mall, new food centre, very central location with schools nearby. The only thing is that there are no private housing within the Clementi central vicinity.

I really I can't believe we're gonna be moving back to Hillview. It could be a good thing, but I'm dreading the 45min journey to school, the midnight cab fare and the inconvenience of not having everything 15min walk away. :( But I guess we can't have everything we want. Ah well.
